Demonic Pact equipment is a group of seven items tied exclusively to Echo boss encounters on Sarim. None of them appear on normal boss drop tables, and none are available in the player economy. Every piece traces back to a specific Echo boss, either through a crafting component or a direct rare drop.

How acquisition works

Every Demonic Pact item can be obtained in one of two ways.

The first is through a crafting component. Each Echo boss drops a specific component at a stated rate. Once you have the component, you combine it to create the finished item. Component rates across the five bosses range from 1-in-80 to 1-in-320 per kill.

The second is a direct drop of the finished item, with no crafting step involved. Direct drop rates are 1-in-768 for Devil's Element and 1-in-1024 for all other items. All direct drops are announced globally. The component path is faster on average for every item. Farming toward a direct drop specifically is not realistic — if it happens, treat it as a bonus.

From Echo Kalphite Queen

The Kalphite Queen drops two separate crafting components from a single 1-in-128 combined roll. When the roll succeeds, the component received is chosen at random — 50/50 between the two.

  • Queen's Recurve Limb (1-in-256) crafts into Nature's Recurve. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.
  • Chitinous Pact Fang (1-in-256) crafts into Infernal Tecpatl. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.

Farming both Nature's Recurve and Infernal Tecpatl from Echo KQ means waiting for two separate component drops. The 1-in-128 combined rate is the roll, but which component arrives is random each time it lands. Expect the total kill count to climb significantly before both components are secured.

From Echo King Black Dragon

The King Black Dragon has a single component at 1-in-320. It's the slowest component rate of the solo-boss Echoes.

  • Frozen King Core (1-in-320) crafts into King's Barrage. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.

From Echo Cerberus

Cerberus drops one component at 1-in-256.

  • Houndfire Fang (1-in-256) crafts into Fang of the Hound. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.

From Echo Dagannoth Kings

The Dagannoth Kings work differently from the other Echo bosses. The component and direct drop only roll after a trio completion — all three Kings (Supreme, Rex, and Prime) must be defeated in a single instance. Killing fewer than three gives no Demonic Pact roll for that run.

  • Elemental Pact Sigil (1-in-160 per trio) crafts into Devil's Element. Direct drop at 1-in-768 per trio.

Devil's Element is the only Demonic Pact item with a direct drop rate better than 1-in-1024. Its 1-in-768 rate per trio completion reflects the additional cost of clearing all three Kings each time.

From Echo Sol Heredit

Sol Heredit drops two components from a single 1-in-80 combined roll, the best component rate of any Echo boss. The encounter itself is the most demanding.

  • Shadowflame Prism (1-in-160) crafts into Shadowflame Quadrant. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.
  • Viking Pact Crest (1-in-160) crafts into VS Helm. Direct drop at 1-in-1024.

The same two-component variance that applies to Echo KQ applies here: each successful combined roll gives one component at random, so both pieces require accumulating enough successes to have a reasonable chance of seeing both.

Component rate comparison

Ranked by how quickly a component drops per kill, from fastest to slowest:

  • Echo Sol Heredit: 1-in-80 combined (2 items, random per success)
  • Echo Dagannoth Kings: 1-in-160 per trio (1 item, requires full trio)
  • Echo Kalphite Queen: 1-in-128 combined (2 items, random per success)
  • Echo Cerberus: 1-in-256 (1 item)
  • Echo King Black Dragon: 1-in-320 (1 item)

Rate alone doesn't decide which boss to farm. Sol's 1-in-80 rate is the fastest, but Sol is also the hardest encounter. The Kalphite Queen at 1-in-128 combined is a strong middle-ground if you want two items from one boss and the encounter is manageable at your gear level.

If you're targeting one specific item, farm its boss regardless of relative rates. The only choice is between component path and hoping for a direct drop, and the component path wins every time on expected value.
