The Raging Echo of Cerberus spawns in a private instance of the hellhound lair. The boss is stationary — it does not move — and uses the same combat behaviour as normal Cerberus. The primary reasons to farm this encounter are the Houndfire Fang crafting component and the direct Fang of the Hound drop.
Private instance of region 5140.
Does not move from spawn position.
Guaranteed per kill.
Houndfire Fang per kill.
The encounter
Cerberus spawns at a fixed position in the lair and stays there. Its movement is locked, so the arena geometry is consistent — you know exactly where the boss will be on entry and after respawn. The encounter uses Cerberus's existing combat behaviour, including its signature triple-ghost attack, lava pools, and prayer-draining mechanics.
The private instance means no other player can enter during your session. The boss respawns approximately 10 seconds after death, and the instance stays active for continued kills without re-entering.
Players unfamiliar with Cerberus should run the normal encounter first. The ghost and lava mechanics are the same, and positioning mistakes in the Echo instance have the same consequences.
Drop table
Standard drops
- 350,000 coins (guaranteed)
- 1-in-25 chance of 1,500,000 bonus coins
- One roll on the normal Cerberus drop table
- 25% chance of a second normal-table roll
The normal Cerberus table includes its existing rare drops — the Primordial crystal, Pegasian crystal, Smouldering stone, and others. Echo kills roll that table the same way a normal kill does, plus the 25% chance at a bonus roll.
Echo-exclusive drops
- 1-in-256 chance of a Houndfire Fang
- 1-in-1024 chance of Fang of the Hound (global broadcast)
Unique rewards
Houndfire Fang
A crafting component used to assemble Fang of the Hound, a piece of Demonic Pact equipment. Rate: 1-in-256 per kill. See the item and account perks wiki page for Demonic Pact equipment build context.
Fang of the Hound
Finished Demonic Pact equipment, obtainable directly at 1-in-1024 per kill. Drops are announced globally. The Houndfire Fang provides a faster acquisition path through crafting.
Preparing for this encounter
- Learn normal Cerberus first. The triple ghost attack and lava pool mechanics carry over directly. These are the main sources of supply drain.
- Sustain between kills. The 10-second respawn window is short. Food and prayer management for extended sessions matters more than single-kill burst performance.
- Plan for a 256-kill average. The Houndfire Fang has a 1-in-256 rate. Expect variance on both sides. A session target of 200–300 kills is reasonable for component farming.
