Echo King Black Dragon

The Raging Echo of King Black Dragon runs inside a private instance of the KBD lair. It is the most straightforward Echo encounter mechanically: one boss, one arena, one crafting component to farm. The Frozen King Core at 1-in-320 is the main reason to spend time here.

The encounter

The King Black Dragon spawns in the same arena used by normal KBD. It uses the same three dragonfire variants — regular, venomous, and freeze — plus the standard melee and range attack rotation. An antifire potion and antidragonfire shield are the baseline requirements, same as the non-Echo version.

The private instance runs solo: no other player can enter or interfere. The boss respawns approximately 10 seconds after death. There is no need to exit the instance between kills.

The KBD encounter is one of the simpler Echo fights once you have the appropriate protection. Players new to King Black Dragon should run the normal encounter to understand the dragonfire patterns before switching to the private instance.

Drop table

Standard drops

• 300,000 coins (guaranteed)
• 1-in-25 chance of 1,250,000 bonus coins
• One roll on the normal King Black Dragon drop table
• 25% chance of a second normal-table roll

The normal KBD table includes its existing drops — the Draconic visage, clue scrolls, dragon items, and others. Echo kills give you the full normal-table treatment plus a 25% chance at a second roll.

Echo-exclusive drops

• 1-in-320 chance of a Frozen King Core
• 1-in-1024 chance of King's Barrage (global broadcast)

Frozen King Core

A crafting component used to assemble King's Barrage, a piece of Demonic Pact equipment. Rate: 1-in-320 per kill. At this rate you can expect the component roughly every 320 kills on average, though variance is real — plan for a session range rather than a fixed target. King's Barrage

Finished Demonic Pact equipment, obtainable directly at 1-in-1024 per kill. Drops are announced globally. Most players will reach it through the Frozen King Core crafting path first.

Preparing for this encounter

• Antifire protection is required. An antidragonfire shield and antifire potion are the baseline for any KBD encounter. This doesn't change in the Echo instance.
• Account for 320-kill variance. The Frozen King Core rate is one per 320 kills on average. Sessions of 400–500 kills before a component drop are within normal range.
• Normal KBD first. The dragonfire attack patterns are the same. Learn them in the open world before committing to private-instance farming.
