The Raging Echo of Sol Heredit takes place inside a private instance of the Fortis Colosseum. It is the hardest and most rewarding Echo boss currently in the game, with the highest guaranteed coin floor of any variant and the best component drop rate at 1-in-80 per kill.
Private instance of region 7216.
Movement locked, faces south.
Highest guaranteed coins of any Echo.
Best component rate across all Echo bosses.
The encounter
Sol Heredit spawns in a fixed position inside a private Colosseum instance, facing south, and does not move. The boss uses the same combat abilities and patterns as the normal Sol Heredit encounter. A private instance means no other player can interfere with the fight — mechanics are balanced around solo play, and the arena's geometry stays predictable throughout.
Sol Heredit is one of OSRS's newer bosses with a mechanics-heavy kit. The Echo variant inherits that base difficulty. Players who have not fought normal Sol Heredit should do so before attempting the Echo version — the encounter does not scale down for inexperienced loadouts.
Drop table
Standard drops
- 500,000 coins (guaranteed)
- 1-in-25 chance of 2,000,000 bonus coins
- One roll on the normal Sol Heredit drop table
- 25% chance of a second normal-table roll
The normal Sol Heredit table includes its existing rare drops — Colosseum-specific items and supplies. The 25% extra-roll bonus applies on top of the guaranteed single roll, giving Echo kills more total loot volume than equivalent non-Echo encounters.
Echo-exclusive drops
- 1-in-160 chance of a Shadowflame Prism
- 1-in-160 chance of a Viking Pact Crest
- (1-in-80 to receive one of the two, chosen at random)
- 1-in-1024 chance of Shadowflame Quadrant (global broadcast)
- 1-in-1024 chance of VS Helm (global broadcast)
The 1-in-80 component rate is the best of any Echo encounter. The component roll randomly selects one of the two available items — you cannot target a specific one. Players assembling both pieces of Demonic Pact equipment from Sol will need kills in volume regardless of which component drops first.
Unique rewards
Shadowflame Prism
A crafting component for Shadowflame Quadrant, a piece of Demonic Pact equipment. Rate: 1-in-160 per kill (part of the 1-in-80 combined component roll). See the item and account perks wiki page for build context on Demonic Pact equipment.
Viking Pact Crest
A crafting component for VS Helm, a piece of Demonic Pact equipment. Rate: 1-in-160 per kill (part of the same 1-in-80 combined roll as the Shadowflame Prism).
Shadowflame Quadrant
Finished Demonic Pact equipment, obtainable directly at 1-in-1024 per kill. Drops are announced globally. Players who prefer crafting will accumulate Shadowflame Prisms instead.
VS Helm
Finished Demonic Pact equipment, obtainable directly at 1-in-1024 per kill. Drops are announced globally. Players who prefer crafting will accumulate Viking Pact Crests instead.
Preparing for this encounter
- Know normal Sol first. The Echo variant uses the same mechanics. The private instance doesn't reduce the challenge — it just removes interference from other players.
- Optimise for sustained kills. The respawn window is about 10 seconds. A build that sustains food and prayer between kills matters more here than a build that peaks on a single kill.
- Expect component variance. At 1-in-80, the component rate is good for an Echo boss, but you won't hit it every kill. Dry patches of 200–300 kills are within normal variance. Plan gear and supplies around a session, not a single drop.
- Build for Sol's kit. Consult the item perks guide for perk setups that perform well against mechanic-heavy encounters.
